Christian Alcohol
Rehab
There are thousands of people that struggle with alcoholism.
Many of them are Christians. If you are a Christian you may
feel guilty that you have fallen into this sin. You have to
realize that it is a sin, like any other sin, and you can be
forgiven and released from it by just asking. There can only be
change in your life if you allow God to make those changes and
that can be done through a Christian alcohol
rehab.
Don’t Waste Precious Time
Secular agencies waste so much time directing you to look
inside yourself, reach deep for that inner strength, or “higher
power.” After you have tried to dig deep within yourself,
searching your past for healing, it is time to look towards the
Lord. Visit a Christian alcohol rehab and let trained
professionals and those who may have struggled with your same
demon, help direct you to the only person who can truly help
and that is Jesus.
“In you, O lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to
shame, rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness; turn
your ear to me and save me, be my rock of refuge, to which I
can always go; give the command to save me, for You are my rock
and my fortress. Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the
wicked, from the grasp of evil and cruel men. For You
have been my hope, O sovereign Lord, my confidence since my
youth.” Psalm 71:1-5
Never Too Late To Start
At a Christian alcohol rehab you will hear testimonies from
others who were in your shoes at one time. They have turned
their lives over to the Lord and He has healed them from the
bondage of alcohol. It is never too late. The Psalm quoted
above was written by someone who was in their sunset years.
They were looking back on their life and seeing where God had
been there for them. And that he was their Rock. Let go and let
Him be your Rock and your life also may be a testimony to
someone you love.
We are all a work in progress. The Lord is molding and
shaping us constantly. In Philippians 1:6 Paul says:
“being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ
Jesus.” Never be discouraged, if you fall, ask for
forgiveness, repent and turn from your sin, and serve the God
who created you. Get into fellowship with other Christians;
flee from those who may cause you to fall into temptation. Be
busy in service to the Lord and helping others.
Where to Go
First, get on your knees and ask for the Lord’s forgiveness
and direction. Visit your home church. Your pastor is a good
listener and will greet you with open arms. He will help you
see your need and direct to the only One who can help, Jesus.
Denying your system of the alcohol it has become dependant upon
may result in some physical discomfort or serious illness. You
may need medical attention. In that case your pastor may have
information on a Christian alcohol rehab.
Look online or ask a family member, friend or colleague who
may be familiar with a Christian alcohol rehab. Ask for or read
the testimonials from others who may have recently been through
a similar program. Ask others to pray for you.
